Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American businesswoman for more than 20 years. The current president is and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a California born Buss was raised in an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the owner of Lakers and other enterprises. Her parents parted ways in 1972, which caused her to feel emotionally neglected. At the age of 19, she began working for the family's business. In the future she created the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She held the position of president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss inherited the Lakers by her dad in 2013. Five siblings of hers took over the franchise through an estate trust. She assumed the office of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles the organization which encourages professional wrestling.
