Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from a Jewish family. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder relocated with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family lived in a place without electricity. Ryder was an avid bookworm and would spend her days studying books since she had no television. Ryder, then 12, was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In 1986 she landed her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied throughout her time in high school. Ryder hoped that her actions might change the situation. However, that didn't happen. The actress continued to chase her dreams. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her debut big breakthrough. Ryder had a successful role in various films. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
